Our efforts are to raise awareness among community members, including legislators, that firearms safety and violence prevention are achieved through education not legislation. Encourage the preservation of America's gun culture, from conservation and commerce to competitive sports, hunting, and self-defense. Highlight the diversity and rising demographic of female gun owners through ongoing advocacy because gun rights are women’s rights.
One of DC Project’s proudest achievements has been to provide testimony in firearms-related hearings. The DC Project was asked to testify in a third hearing on “Steps To Reduce Gun Violence” in the House Judiciary Committee. We believe that our voices are powerful and provide armor against attacks on the 2nd Amendment. I invite you to join us in building an army of women that support their right to protect themselves and their families. We provide a counter voice and counter visual to the aggressive and misinformed anti-gun women’s groups like Moms Demand Action.
